La tournée, qui visitera du 24 novembre au 9 décembre les villes de Bathurst, Rexton, Moncton, Saint-Jean, Edmundston et Fredericton, proposera la lecture de textes inédits avec des auteur.e.s d’horizons divers :

Les portes ouvrent à 19h30 et la soirée littéraire débute à 20h, sauf à Fredericton où les portes ouvrent à 13h30 et la représentation débute à 14h. Les billets au coût de 5$ seront en vente à la porte.
L’évènement littéraire se déroulera en français et en anglais avec projection de surtitres dans l’autre langue.
Ce projet de création littéraire rassemble 12 auteur.e.s acadiens, anglophones, mi’kmaqks, wolastoqiyik et d’autres horizons. Il s’agit de créer des rapprochements entre les auteurs, émergents comme établis, de différentes générations, provenant des quatre coins de la province.
Les auteur.e.s ont reçu la consigne de rédiger un texte pour l’occasion. Il s’agissait d’écrire pour révéler et mettre en scène les communautés dans lesquelles chacun d’entre eux évolue.

A dozen New Brunswick authors will hit the road later this month for Faire communauté/Creating Community, a six-stop tour to share their stories of community. This bilingual literary event is organized by Ancrages, an Acadian literary journal.
Faire communauté/Creating Community aims to build relationships between new and experienced writers of different generations and from various parts of the province. The project brings together twelve writers from diverse backgrounds, including Acadian, English, Mi’kmaw, Wolastoqiyik and immigrant communities. Each author was invited to write a new piece on the theme of community.
Audiences will hear previously unpublished work by : Beth Powning (Sussex), Brigitte Lavallée (Petit-Rocher), Elizabeth Blanchard (Grand-Barachois), Gerard Collins (Sussex), Lee Thompson (Moncton), Muhammad Al-Digeil (Fredericton), Paul Bossé (Moncton), Phyllis Grant (Pabineau First Nation), Raymond Sewell (Pabineau First Nation/Halifax), Sébastien Bérubé (Edmundston), Sheedy Petit Jean (Haïti/Moncton) and Shelby Beaatz Sappier (Tobique/Fredericton).

Doors will open at 7:30 pm, with shows starting at 8 pm, except in Fredericton, where doors will open at 1:30 pm, with authors taking the stage at 2 pm. Tickets, $5, will be available at the door.
Readings will take place in English and French, with surtitles projected in the other language.
