Sheedy Petit Jean was born in Haiti and graduated from the University of Moncton with a degree in social sciences. A book of poetry, un bout de moi, was published by Édilivre. In Moncton, the public will have seen her recently singing onstage with Afro-Funk group Moun k’ap or reciting some of her work as Joy Sheedy during poetry events. 20171117
